Coronavirus - Cancellation policy for customers with a pre-paid reservation

To provide our customers with flexibility for their travel plans and confidence to place future reservations without penalty during this unprecedented COVID-19 health situation, we have extended our existing no-fee cancellation policy to include customers with pre-paid rentals booked directly through us. Cancellation fees are being waived for any pre-paid rentals booked directly with us with for rentals due to start before April 1, 2021.

Customers who have booked a rental through a third-party are encouraged to contact that party directly.

Credit Card Requirements

The Credit Card MUST be in the Renter's name.  The Credit Card must match the same name given on the reservation and cannot be in the Tour Operator or Agent's name.

The same Credit Card used for the online Advance Payment MUST be provided at the time of rental at the destination rental counter. If the Advance Pay credit card is not provided to the agent at pick-up time, the Advance Payment credit cannot be applied to the rental and another form of payment will be required.

The signature on the back of the card must match the name imprinted on the card.

Debit Cards

We are sorry but debit cards may not be used for Advance Payment.

Availability

Advance Payment is only offered at participating US and CA destinations and will be transacted in the destination currency (USD or CAD). Renters will be responsible for any currency conversion fees that may be charged by their Credit Card provider.

Modifications

Modifications of Advance Payment reservations will be allowed on Tour.alamo.com; however any changes to the estimated total will be settled at the counter (charges and refunds). If your customer requires an immediate refund, the reservation will need to be canceled via Tour Support center.

Cancellation of Advance Payment reservations requires a call to our Tour Support Team. They can be reached at:  US/CA: 1-800-662-2725 ; Outside of US/CA: 314-587-4641. These numbers will also be displayed if you attempt to retrieve and cancel an Advance Payment reservation.

Cancellation Fees

Standard Prepay Policy

If the reservation is cancelled more than 24 hours before the pick-up time, a $50 cancellation fee will be assessed.

If the reservation is cancelled within 24 hours of the pick-up or is not picked up at all, a $100 no-show fee will be assessed.

Any optional product (Damage Protection, Equipment etc.) selected at the time of reservation may be cancelled at the counter at the time of rental without incurring a cancellation fee.
