No shuttle is required.  Exit the baggage claim area and walk across the street to the Car Rental Center located in the parking garage.  The Alamo counter is located on the first floor of the parking garage in the Rental Car Facility.  Self Service Kiosks at this location can make your rental transaction quick and easy.
